ABOUT US
This 5K is organized by 5C IDEAS, a student-led organization at the Claremont Colleges that supports undocumented and vulnerable communities on campus and beyond.

Through mutual aid, resource-sharing, and community-based initiatives, IDEAS works to address gaps in support and respond to real needs. This 5K is one way that work takes shape—serving as a fundraiser to support both on-campus mutual aid and community efforts beyond campus.

Undocumented students often navigate college while facing financial and institutional barriers, particularly when support is limited. This event helps direct resources to where they are most needed.

HOW WE USE FUNDS
Funds raised through this event are used in two main ways:
-
Mutual aid on campus — direct financial support for undocumented and vulnerable students at the Claremont Colleges
-
Support beyond campus — scholarships for local high school seniors transitioning into college, direct support for families impacted by immigration enforcement, and contributions to organizations working on immigrant rights

Every contribution is directed toward meeting real, immediate needs—both within our campus and in the surrounding community.
